Leona A. Reisenauer, 91, Dickinson, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, with family at her side. Leona’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Patrick Ojedeji as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.
Leona A. Olheiser was born January 25, 1926, daughter of George and Beata (Heidt) Olheiser on the family farm, southwest of Dickinson near Schefield. She was raised and educated in the Schefield area.
Leona was united in marriage to Mike Reisenauer on May 21, 1946 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Schefield. They made their home in Dickinson where she was a self-taught seamstress and she had worked at Excel Cleaners throughout her life.
She enjoyed sewing, growing flowers, crafts with her daughters, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leona is survived by three children, Elaine (Johnny) Moos, Sutherlin, Ore., Carla (Gilbert) Radtke, Dickinson, and Doreen (Jeff) Erickson, Dickinson; son-in-law, LeeRoy Frank, Laurel, Mont.; daughter-in-law, Judy Reisenauer, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great–grandchildren; two sisters, Jean (Doug) Frisbee and Cecelia (Don) Samson; sisters-in-law, Martha Olheiser and Alice Olheiser; brother-in-law, Tony Schwindt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike, February 8, 1979; parents; daughter, Diane Frank; infant daughter; son, Harvey Reisenauer; grandson, Brian Frank; brothers, Joe, Ralph, George, Christ, Tony and Al Olheiser; sisters, Tillie Urlacher, Ida Kuntz, Rose Kitzan, Agnes Olheiser, Beata Schwindt and Barbara Weiler.
