Lewis Alexander was born to Hobart and Beryl Alexander in Parkersburg, W.Va. At a young age they moved to Mesa, Ariz. and then onto their home in Colorado. Third in a family of five, Lou was ready to be his own man at an early age. He started his own business by the time he was 19 and was a homeowner by the time he was 20.
Lou was a master at anything he set out to do. He was a master gardener, chef, carpet installer, builder, planner, mechanic, hunter, fisherman, armchair quarterback, dancer, artist, dog trainer, party planner, teacher, Bronco fan, caretaker, friend, husband and father. He lived hard, played hard and loved with all of his heart.
Known to his friends as “Wild Man”- he was tamed by the love of his life- the girl that was swept off her feet to “Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On”, Ginny. He danced his way right into her heart and they were married in December of 1986. To that union came the greatest joys of his life Mike and Jenna. They resided in Colorado raising not only their 2, but countless others who would love him as well. They will all be a part of his living legacy. The family moved to North Dakota in 2010 where he resided until his passing.
Life with Lou was always an adventure, he went out the way he lived- he left nothing on the table. As he would say on a good play by the Bronco’s, “Go baby, go baby, go baby- GO” Sail on, your room in Heaven is ready… until we meet again on the dance floor. Lou was an organ donor- may the one whose sight he saved be blessed to see the balance of their days through Lou’s eyes- forever bright, forever Lou.
