Lillian Bren, 93, Dickinson, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Lillian’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan with Deacon Jerry Volk presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary & vigil at 6:30 p.m., with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding.

Lillian Sadowsky was born May 29, 1924 in Dickinson, the daughter of Louis and Rose (Jilek) Sadowsky. She was raised and educated in the New Hradec area.

Lillian was united in marriage to Charles Bren on June 30, 1947 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, New Hradec. They lived and farmed west of New Hradec where they raised their family. They moved to Dickinson in 1976 and while in Dickinson she worked various part time cleaning positions.

She belonged to the Rosary Society, the St. Rose Circle, and the FSCLA (Catholic Workmen). Lillian enjoyed crocheting, baking and gardening.

Lillian is survived by her children, Janice (Don) Bullinger, Dickinson and Ervin (Lori) Bren, Dickinson; five grandchildren, Scott (Wendy) Bullinger, Sheldon (Kristi) Bullinger, Travis (Aura) Bren, Tyson (Teresa) Bren and Sadi Bren; 13 great-grandchildren, Brittney (Corbin) Smith, Aaron Bullinger, Sawyer Bullinger, Natalie Bullinger, Megan Bullinger, Lindsey Bullinger, Triton Bren, Ari Bren, Truett Bren, Madelynn Bren, Gavin Bren, Owen Bren and Warren Bren; siblings, Beatrice Rambousek, Dickinson, Beata Havelka, Dickinson and Louis Sadowsky, Dickinson and sister-in-law, Charlotte Sadowsky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on February 13, 2009; grandson, Shawn Bullinger; twin brother, Albert; sister, Patricia; brother, Lawrence; infant brother, Victor; and infant sisters, Rose and Tillie.
