Lillian Reis, 63, Dickinson died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at her home. Lillian’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ralph Stockert presiding.
Lillian Heintz was born July 3, 1945 at Mandan the daughter of Anton and Catherine (Schwartz) Heintz. She was raised and educated in Solen.
Lillian married Gerald M. “Jerry” Reis on November 5, 1966 in Bismarck. They lived in Bismarck until 1975 when they moved to Dickinson. While in Dickinson she began a 25 plus year career working at the St. Luke’s Home.
Lillian was a member of the St. Anthony Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, cooking and entertaining family and friends at her home.
Lillian is survived by two children, John (Elicia Olson) Reis, Dickinson and Jerilyn Reis, St. Paul, Minn.; her mother, Catherine Heintz, Bismarck; two sisters, Leona (Nick) Heinert, Fort Rice, and Bonnie (Darryl) Hatzenbuhler, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry on April 12, 2004, and her father.
