Lois A. Janke, 46, Dickinson, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services for Lois will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Lisa Lewton officiating. Interment will follow at Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. There will be prayer service at 7 p.m., Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Lois Ann Kaseman was born November 10, 1964, in Ashley, the daughter of Clifton and LaVerna (Dockter) Kaseman. She was raised and educated in Wishek, graduating from Wishek High School in 1983.
Lois married Delbert Janke on January 12, 1984 in Dickinson, and they have made their home since. Lois was working as a social worker for Stark County Social Services at the time of her death.
She enjoyed going for long walks, nurturing her flowers in her yard, loved animals, especially the companionship of Tobi.
Lois is survived by her husband, Delbert; their two daughters, DelRae Lynn Janke, Dickinson, and Samantha Mae Janke, Bismarck; her parents, Clifton and LaVerna Kaseman, Wishek; and two sisters, Salome (Randy) Hansen, Fertile, Minn., and Twila (Kent) Nies, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Kathrina Dockter, and Edward and Christina Kaseman.
