Lorraine Heidecker, 89, Dickinson, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 with family at her side at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Lorraine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Jordan Dosch as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding.
Lorraine A. Scheeler was born May 19, 1930 in Dickinson, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Flink) Scheeler. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. She helped in the homes of neighboring farms and she especially enjoyed the young children.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Joseph J. Heidecker on October 19, 1948 at the Church of St. Phillip in Dunn County. She loved her flower beds and making apples pies from her beautiful apple tree. She also enjoyed going camping.
Lorraine is survived by three children, Vonne (Henry) Carrillo, Prescott Valley, Ariz., Elaine “Pickles” Lindemann, Dickinson and Joseph S. (Deb) Heidecker, Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Dion Carrillo, Glendale, Ariz., Joshua (Annie) Carrillo, Huntington Beach, Calif., Sasha Carrillo, Mesa, Ariz., and Heather Davis, Colorado Springs; great-grandchildren, Timothy Carrillo, Lexoni Weber, Noah Carrillo, Owen Carrillo, Dakota Hodgin and Ryder Davis; two brothers, Ted (Georgia) Scheeler, Bozeman, Mont. and Richard (Evie) Scheeler, Tucson, Ariz.; and sisters-in-law, Ellen Scheeler, Miles City, Mont. and Joyce Scheeler, Dickinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe on September 23, 2017; three brothers, Gilbert, Ray and Edward Scheeler; two sisters, Hanna and Angie Heidecker; brothers-in-law, Frank and William Heidecker; and sister-in-law, Josephine Scheeler.
