Lorraine Schneider, 90, formerly of the Manning area, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Lorraine’s funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Hillside Baptist Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Ron Gold officiating. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the church.

Lorraine Reichenberg was born November 22, 1925 to Herman and Maria (Richter) Reichenberg at Krem. Lorraine was raised in Krem and educated in Hazen. Following the completion of her schooling, Lorraine move to Washington where she worked in a factory making war supplies. Lorraine married Reuben Schneider on April 22, 1945 at Krem. In November 1945 she and Reuben moved to their own ranch southwest of Manning. Lorraine was active in helping Reuben with the ranch and raising their three sons. In 1984 she and Reuben moved to Dickinson. In her spare time Lorraine enjoyed reading and bowling and cook for those who visited.

Lorraine is survived by her three sons, Lester (Jane), Manning, Warren (Carol), Manning, and Gregory (Renae), Killdeer; one sister Evelyn Orr, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; one grandson, Grandon Schneider; three sisters, Edna Schmitt, Lena Olson, and Marian Stickney and six brothers, Harold, Emil, Wilbert, Leland, Paul, and Adrian.
