Louis J. Sadowsky, 87, Dickinson, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 surrounded by family at the Country House, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial for Louis will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, New Hradec. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Louis J. Sadowsky was born August 13, 1932 on the family farm near Dickinson, the son of Louis F. and Rose (Jilek) Sadowsky. He was raised on the family farm and educated in New Hradec.

Louis was united in marriage to Victoria Rambousek on May 3, 1954 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, New Hradec. They lived on the family farm where they raised beef cattle and grew grain crops.

He was a faithful lifetime member for 67 years of the Knights of Columbus Council 1515 (where he was past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator), for 49 years he was a 4th Degree Knight. Louis also was a member of the Catholic Workman and Elks. He enjoyed Polka Joe, Mollie B and loved dancing. He enjoyed playing pinochle with his family and also Uno (one card).

Louis is survived by son, Darrell (MaryAnn) Sadowsky, Gladstone and their children, Justin (friend Melissa Hovland), Dustin (Courtney), Travis (Lacy), Alexia (Brandon) Eslinger, and Bobbie Jo (Casey) Doll; son, Brian (Sue) Sadowsky, Dickinson, and their children, Brandi (Aaron) Dorval, Cora (Steve) Tormaschy, Allison (Seth) Combs, and Chad (Ashlie); daughter, Leonice (Jeff) Splichal, Kindred, and their children, Matt (Nicole), and Kathryn (Eric) Stoddard; daughter, Roxanne (Doug) Ficek, Manning, and their children, Tiffany (Casey) Roshau, and Darren (Randi); and daughter, Tina (Mark) Jassek, Dickinson, and their children, Jillian (Jesse) Kubik, and Trever; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Rambousek and Beata Havelka; sister-in-law, Charlotte Sadowsky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria, on August 30, 2016; parents; three infant siblings; siblings and spouses, Albert (Elsie) Sadowsky, Lawrence Sadowsky, Lillian (Charlie) Bren, Emil Rambousek, George Havelka, and Pat (David) Kubas.
