Louis P. Lindbo was born January 8, 1952 at Beach, the son of Lloyd and Lola (Fuge) Lindbo. He grew up on a ranch north of Fryburg. At an early age he went to work on a drilling rig for a short time, started welding with his brother and eventually had his own welding business. Following the bust of the oil boom of the early 1980’s, he went to work for the Billings County School District. He worked for Baranko Brothers as a mechanic, and a welder, both in the shop and in the field. He set his sights on being closer to the ranch and worked for The Billings County Shop. There he ran heavy equipment, semi trucks with lowboys hauling equipment, gravel water trucks, and anything they needed.

With the passing of his mother, he took over the ranch. He also served on the grazing association board and took care of the needs of his dad. His first love was ranching, he loved the cattle, the horses, the stray cats that showed up. With his nephew Johny in tow, they would shoot prairie dogs, and moved unwanted skunks from eating the cat food. He especially loved his side-kick, Border Collie, Buddy.

He loved to be creative, could figure out how to make anything work. He had the best sense of humor and could make everyone laugh no matter the situation. Louis had a big heart and gentle soul.

Louis was the youngest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his mom, Lola; and dad, Lloyd. He is survived by his six siblings, Lowell (Marge) Lindbo, Fryburg, Lola Glass Bismarck, Leslie (Teri) Lindbo, Billings, Mont., Lillie (Larry) Wolf, Salem, Ore.; Lila “Melody” Wannemacher, Washburn, and Laurie Beach, Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
