Gordon Kaisershot, 80, Killdeer, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at his home with family at his side.

Gordon E. Kaisershot was raised in Belfield, North Dakota and graduated from Belfield High School. After graduation he attended The University of North Dakota (UND) in Grand Forks. While attending UND he was a member of a men’s choral group known as The Bards. He also was a student and a cadet of the Reserve Officer Training Corp, (ROTC). The last year of his university studies and as a senior cadet of the ROTC he received the highest award for his service in the Corp which included a beautiful traditional silver saber with sheath. He was awarded a commission as a Medical Service Officer and received a Regular Army (RA) commission in the United States Army.

During his 24 plus years of military service, Gordon received many awards, training, and military professional education including the prestigious US Army War College. As he progressed with his military career he also graduated from two universities with Masters Degrees; Webster University in Technology and Boston University in Education.

Gordon had been posted in many places with the United States and in foreign countries such as France and Germany plus Vietnam. Gordon is a war veteran of the Vietnam Era.

After retiring from the military, he returned to North Dakota with his wife to enjoy country life on a small hobby farm.

Gordon and his wife have a blended family of daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He has enjoyed his retirement years in the country and special events with his family.
