Lucille M. Sampson, 88, Killdeer, died on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Hill Top Home of Comfort, Killdeer. Lucille’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
Lucille M. Vasquez was born September 21, 1936 to EuJean Vasquez. She was raised and educated in San Diego, having graduated from Helix High School.
Lucille was united in marriage to Primo Lopez in San Diego and to this union five children were born.
She went on to attend school where she earned her LPN, following a period of time of nursing in San Diego, she relocated to the Manning area where she continued her nursing career.
Lucille was united in marriage to Garry Sampson in March 1980 and to this union one daughter was born.
She enjoyed reading, watching baseball—especially the Minnesota Twins, and she truly enjoyed working in the nursing home.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Garry; children, David Lopez, Linda (Steve) Calclosure, Laura Rice, John (Karlea) Lopez, Joe Lopez, and Kelly Sampson; eight grandchildren, Molly, Travanti, Bernie, April, Tyler, Brandy, Marcus, and Jonathan; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Alice (Adam) Wock, Louise (Ron) Peterson, and Louis Vasquez.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and her grandson, Shaun.
