Magdalena “Lena” Pribyl, 91, Dickinson, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Lena’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Msgr. Thomas Richter as celebrant. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a Catholic Daughters Rosary and a Parish Vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.

Lena was born on November 8, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Magdalena (Kolling) Lech. She was raised on a farm and educated in a country school south of Gladstone. After she was grown, she moved to Dickinson and her first job was at the Cozy Lunch Café.

Lena met Laudie “Larry” Pribyl and they got married on August 29, 1953 they made their home in Bismarck for several years. When they lived in Bismarck she worked as a dental assistant. They moved to Thief River Falls and then to Minot where she worked for a dentist, upon retirement, moved to Dickinson in 1996.

Lena loved to do crafts with needle point stitching and there are still many of her pillows around. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital Gift Shop. Lena also enjoyed camping, fishing, square dancing and playing cards.

Lena is survived by her daughter, Kim Pribyl Collin, Chippewa, Wis., sons, Daniel Keith Pribyl, Moorhead, Minn. and Terry Lee (Angel) Pribyl, Lawton, Okla.; and their children; four sisters, Theresa Thueringer, Margaret Willer, Helen Dukart and Regina Hlebechuk; two brothers, Joe (Betty) and Steve. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, on April 5, 2001; her parents; six sisters; and one brother.
