Marcella Storseth, 94, Dickinson, died on Monday, January 2, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson with her daughter by her side. Marcella’s Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson with Rev. Lisa Lewton officiating. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Marcella Austreim was born on January 4, 1928 in Williston, the daughter of Marselius and Margit (Wickum) Austreim. She grew up on the family farm in her early years and attended Williston  High School, having graduated in 1946.

Marcella was united in marriage to Clarence Storseth on June 14, 1952 in Williston. She worked in banking until the birth of their daughter. The family m oved to Dickinson in 1969.

She had been active in church all of her life, volunteered at the hospital, school and numerous other places. Marcella and Clarence traveled extensively throughout the US and abroad. One of her biggest highlights was celebrating her 35th class reunion with her classmates in Austria.

Marcella is survived by one daughter, Mary Chris Gerving, Dickinson; brother, Bob (Marilyn) Austreim, Williston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, on October 21, 2008; her parents; brothers, Melvin (Norma), Selmer (Marion) and Harold.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent made to St. John Lutheran Church Trust Fund, Dickinson or Badlands Ministry, Medora.
