Margaret “Marge” Buresh, 76, Dickinson, passed away peacefully after battling lymphoma Sunday, January 10, 2016 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Margaret’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher as the celebrant, and Fr. Jason Lefor con-celebrating. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be on Tuesday form 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Fr. Jason Lefor presiding.

Marge was born September 22, 1939 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dickinson, to John and Lena (Gregory) Petryszak. She attended grade school in a schoolhouse near Fairfield, and high school at Model High in Dickinson. Marge went to Dickinson State College and got a degree in business. After college she worked at the auditor’s office in Medora, for the summer. She married Robert S. Buresh October 14, 1958, at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, rural Belfield. They lived in Dickinson for a little over a year before moving to Bob’s parents farm in 1959 where she lived until moving to Dickinson in 2013. Marge was a member of the Rosary Society in New Hradec.

Marge is survived by her children: Kathy (Vern) Tormaschy, Richardton, their children: Toby (Heidi) Tormaschy and their daughter Natalie, Jason Tormaschy and Kristy Tormaschy and her daughter, Kynley; Jerry (Melody) Buresh, Dickinson, her children: Tasha Bonn and Megan Bonn (fiancé Nick Rubbert) and their son, Kasyn; Mike (Rachel) Buresh, Manning, their children: Lexi and Alex; Joleen Forster (special friend Ed Mertz), Dickinson, her daughter: JennaLee; Connie (Dale) Aman, Dickinson, their children: Courtney, Logan and Landon; Ken Buresh (special friend Nicki Kungel), West Fargo; Bobby (Jodi) Buresh, West Fargo, their children: Carson and Conner; Kelly (Nicole) Buresh, Dickinson, their children: Paityn and Kylen; two sisters, Mary Ann Steffan, Dickinson and Rose (Robert) Lefor, Lefor; one brother, Mike (Shari) Petryszak, Redmond, Wash.; brothers-in-law, John (Elaine) Buresh, Towner, Bernie (Dorothy) Buresh, Lincoln, Neb., and Roger Andres, Dickinson; one sister-in-law, Margaret (Don) Heiser, Woodbury, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers-in-law, Vincent Steffan and Albert Buresh and sister-in-law, Darlene Andres.

Marge loved gardening, growing roses, African violets, listening to old-time music, watching Molly B and Polka Joe dance hour, writing and receiving letters, doing search-a-word and crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, embroidering, baking Kolache and Rohliki (little breads), making cheese buttons, homemade chicken noodle soup and borscht soup, visiting, playing cards, riding her four wheeler, canning (especially her famous sour pickles), her chickens and Guineas and she especially loved her dog, Sadie.

She always enjoyed company, especially her family. She will be remembered for her home cooking and the love and care she gave to everyone. We love you and will forever miss you.
