Marie A. Roll, 75, Dickinson died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at her daughters home in Dickinson. Marie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery south of Richardton. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Ralph Stockert presiding.
Marie A. Pechtl was born November 22, 1933 at Lefor the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Link) Pechtl. She was raised and educated 10 miles south of Lefor.
Marie married Paul Roll on November 25, 1952 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. They farmed and lived north of Burt until 1970 when they moved into Dickinson. Her husband Paul died on August 23, 1994.
Marie worked at TMI from 1978 until 2000, and then at the UCI from 2002 to health reasons forced her to stop in 2008. In her spare time she enjoyed watching TV, crocheting, and dancing.
Marie is survived by four children, Roger (Pearl) Roll, Dickinson, Vicky (Keith) Zander, Dickinson, Robin (Tina) Roll, Dickinson, and Sheila Johnson, San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Edward (Caroline) Pechtl, Lefor, Harvey (Pauline) Pechtl, Richardton, and Robert (Jeanette) Pechtl, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, John, Jr., and Arthur.
