Marilyn Jeske, 88, Dickinson, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Marilyn’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New England, with Fr. Gary Benz as the celebrant. Interment will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Marilyn Thole was born July 24, 1932 in New Rockford, the daughter of Leo and Laura (Cassidy) Thole. She was raised in New Rockford and graduated from New Rockford High School. She went on to Valley City State University, graduating with a B. S. Teaching Degree.

Marilyn was united in marriage to Clifford Jeske on July 28, 1953 in New Rockford and to this union six children were born, Debbie, Kay, Nancy, Jerry, Mark and Jim. She worked various jobs over the years : Elementary Teacher, cook at New England Bowling Alley Café and she was self employed with her own catering business.

Marilyn belonged to the New England Public Booster Club. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Debbie Steier, Boise, Idaho, Kay (Galen) Jaeger, Benicia, Calif. and Nancy (Dave) Eckroth, Redmond, Wash; sons, Jerry (Denise) Jeske, Whitewood, S.D., Mark (MaryJane) Jeske, Dickinson and Jim (Trish) Jeske, Bismarck; 12 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Jeske on May 16, 2001; and her parents, Leo and Laura Thole.
