Marjorie Bautz, 70, formerly of New England, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Marjorie’s Service of Remembrance will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Living Word Fellowship Church, Dickinson with Rev. Tim Voth officiating. Inurnment will take place at Our Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, New England. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.

Marjorie Hellekson was born June 10, 1941 to Allan and Mary (Sackett) Hellekson, at the family farm in the Havelock area. She attended Havelock Elementary School and graduated from New England Public High School in 1959.

After receiving a Standard Teaching certificate she taught in a number of elementary schools in the New England area. Marji loved teaching. She cared deeply about the children in her care. Her love of others was the core of her life. She especially cherished time spent with her family and friends.

On June 26, 1964, Marji married Lyle Bautz at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Together they farmed the Bautz family farm and eventually the Hellekson family farm. Marji and Lyle enjoyed 25 years of married life, two sons, Brian Allan and Brent Gene were born to this union.

Following Lyle’s death in 1989, Marji moved to New England where she lived until 2011. Her final move to Dickinson was filled with joy and excitement for the beginning of another step in her life journey. Her life ended at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck on August 31, 2011.

Marji will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She lived a life of gracious gentle caring. She is survived by her two sons, Brian (Amy) Bautz, Dickinson, and Brent (Rebecca) Bautz, Dickinson; three grandchildren, Heather Binstock, Brandon Binstock and Bradyn Bautz; and one sister, Carol (Ron) McAdoo, Overland Park, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; and her parents.
