Marvin M. “Marv” Morel, 64, Dickinson, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his home of natural causes. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service at 6 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Pastor Jerry Sevier officiating.
Marv was born May 4, 1953 to Nickolas and Elizabeth (Hlebichuk) Morel in Dickinson. He grew up in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1971. He was always very proud of his concrete company “Marv Morel Construction” which served the area for over 25 years.
He was blessed with three wonderful children, Ryan, Brandon and Cristin. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his 57 chevy. Marv was always quick witted and wasn’t afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved to talk about his past concrete work. Most recently he was quite the cook. He was known for his amazing french toast and chicken noodle soup.
Marv is survived by his children, Ryan (Melanie) Morel, Menoken, Brandon Morel, Bismarck, and Cristin (Joe) Zayden, Dickinson; his step-grandchildren, Emalee, Marlee and Joey; his siblings, Marlo Morel, Christine, N.D., MarJane Morel, Dickinson, Marlin (Diane) Morel, Dickinson, Martin Morel, Dickinson, Marcel Morel, Kingsland, Texas and Marvel (Lori) Morel, Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
