Marvin P. Dvorak, 67, Dickinson, having been in and out of the hospital the past several months, lost his battle with stomach cancer on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 surrounded by his family at home. Marvin’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue one hour prior to services on Tuesday. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.

Marvin P. Dvorak was born March 14, 1949 at Dickinson, the son of Paul and Eva (Perzinski) Dvorak. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, graduating from Trinity High School.

Marvin was united in marriage to Linda Dorner on August 21, 1970 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Throughout his life he worked at various jobs, most recently he had spent the past 15 years at TMI.

He enjoyed collecting pens and caps, and woodworking projects. He especially cherished time spent with family and friends.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Lorie Dvorak, Dickinson, Paul Dvorak, Dickinson, and Dawn (Cal Praus) Ridl, Gladstone; two grandchildren, Derek Ridl and Jasmine Ridl; and two sisters, Marti Dvorak, Bismarck, and Geri Dvorak, Fargo. He was preceded kin death by his parents; sister, Bernadette Decker; brother, Virgil; brother-in-law, Bruce Decker; and son-in-law, Clarence Ridl.
