Mary Agnes Falcon was born October 18, 1915 at Trenton, the daughter of Ralph and Virginia (Bonneau) Falcon. She was raised and educated in the Trenton area.
Mary was united in marriage to Joseph T. Salonek on June 6, 1942 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williston. They lived in Trenton for 20 years following their marriage, where they raised four children. She worked part time at the City Laundry in Williston for years while raising her family. After living in Montana for a few years, upon Joe’s retirement from the railroad, they moved to Gladstone in 1975.
Upon her husbands death on October 8, 2006, she moved into her daughter, Richinda’s home until February 14, 2007 when she moved to the Evergreen. She remained at Evergreen until New Year’s Eve of 2014 when she entered St. Benedict’s Health Center. She always thought of Evergreen as her home, as she loved it there and the staff who took great care of her, for which we are eternally grateful for; so thanks from our hearts for the wonderful care you gave Mom! Also thanks to St. Ben’s and their staff for the wonderful care in the last few months of her life.
She belonged to the Gladstone Senior Citizens, and was a past member of the RSVP. She was a member of Red Hats while at the Evergreen.
