Mary Ann Dolechek, 90, Dickinson, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Mary Ann’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding.

Mary Ann Buresh was born February 24, 1928 on the family farm in Dunn County, the daughter of Steve and Mary (Adamski) Buresh. She was raised and educated in the South Heart area having graduated from South Heart High School in a class of two in 1946.

Mary Ann was united in marriage to Andrew Dolechek on November 19, 1946 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. They lived on the family farm for four years prior to moving into Dickinson. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in various roles for almost 40 years. She was one of the hospital’s insurance clerks, was there when Medicare started, and was always available to answer questions or help those having Medicare billing questions. She retired in 1993.

She belonged to the Business and Professional Women’s, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to bake kolache and rohlicky, make pizelles, working on crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, embroidery and playing Bingo.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Kenneth (Judy) Dolechek, Keyser, W.Va., Dennis (Bonnie) Dolechek, Keyser, W.Va., Karen (Doug) Goyne, Dickinson, and Mary Jean (Bruce) Ballweber, Maple Lake, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Laudie (Mary) Buresh, Vienna, Va., and Sister Margaret Buresh, St. Paul, Minn.; and sister-in-law, Irene Buresh, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew on May 25, 2004; her parents; brother, George Buresh; and sister, Marcella (Mike) Backsen.
