Mary Freed, 62, Dickinson died Thursday, December 17, 2020 at her home. Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Msgr. Thomas Richter as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and vigil with a time of sharing at 7 p.m. on Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Leonard Krebs presiding.
Mary was born July 8, 1958, the daughter of Howard and Barbara (Day) Freed. Mary had a heart of gold despite having some struggles in her life. She loved her daughter, Cara Hackett, her many canine companions, gardening and cooking for friends.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Cara (Bill) Hackett; her sister, Kathleen (Ron) Doerr; her brothers, Tom Freed and Bob Freed; grandchild, Alex Hackett; nieces, Sara (Chris) Hornick and Samantha Freed; nephews, Justin (Kayla) Schafer, Josh Freed, and Grant Zander; three great-nieces and three great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Howard Freed.
