Mary Oberlander,88, New England, passed into heaven Monday, August 20, 2018 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Mary’s Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, New England with Rev. Colin Neuharth officiating. Interment will follow at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Mary Haugen was born August 30, 1929 to Paul and Luella (Hollar) Haugen in New England. She married Edward Oberlander June 4, 1950 in Reeder. Together they had five children, Bill, Deb, Fran, Tim and Nancy.
Mary was a wonderful mother, a great cook, and a friend who was always willing ‘to put on a pot of coffee’. She was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in New England.
Mary is survived by her children, Bill (Rose), Mott, Fran, Billings, Mont., Tim, New England, and Nancy, Dickinson; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Edward, May 20, 1976; daughter Deb, in 2007; brothers, Obert, Orville, Palmer; and sister Willa.
