Matthew G. Kuntz, 29, Dickinson, passed from this earth of natural causes on Thursday, October 13, 2011. He is now at peace with our Lord in Heaven. Matt’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2011 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack as the celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson.

Matthew Garvin Kuntz was born November 7, 1981 at the St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, the son of Mitch and Tina (Schulte) Kuntz. He was a very creative young boy, content to play by himself and delighted with playmates. Matthew attended kindergarten and 1st grade at Roosevelt Elementary and completed his grade school years at St. Patrick’s Elementary. He graduated from Trinity High School in 2000.

Matt worked at Happy Joe’s while in high school and then began working at Dairy Queen while attending a few classes at Dickinson State University.

Matt was always ready to help a friend. He was a gentle, loving young man. Reading, writing poetry and building computers were his passion. He was an extremely gifted musician and a talented performer. Matt was extremely intelligent, loyal and funny.

In August of 2010, Matt married Erica Gimbel of Dickinson. They honeymooned in California with his Uncle Eldon and Aunt Judy.

Matthew and his longtime friend, Kristian Kostelnak created and ran a business repairing and setting up home computers, Byte-Size Computer Solutions.

We all loved Matthew very much and are saddened that his life was cut short. God had other plans for Matt, He needed him in Heaven with his brothers, aunt and grandparents.

Those surviving Matt are his parents, Mitch and Tina Kuntz, Dickinson; his brother, Mark Kuntz, Bismarck; his grandpa Wallace Schulte, Almont; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant twin brothers, Thomas and Geoffrey Kuntz; paternal grandparents, Mike and Tillie Kuntz; and maternal grandmother, Veronica Schulte.
