Matthew R. Wahus, 27, Dickinson, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at MedCenter One, Bismarck. Matthew’s funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Living Word Fellowship Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Tim Voth officiating. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Matthew was born September 17, 1984 at Williston, the son of Doug and Coleen (Holm) Wahus. He was raised and educated in Dickinson where he was very active and loved to participate in Tae Kwon Do, having earned a Brown Belt. Enjoyed doing yard work and playing golf when he could.
Matthew was blessed on October 21, 2008 with the birth of his son, Preston Matthew Wahus. He was his life and cherished the time he had with him. Matthew and Rachel did a good job as parents and raising him.
He loved construction work and was working for Zeller Construction. Matthew always said, “when you work for good people, work was fun”.
Matthew is survived by his son, Preston; his parents, Coleen Holm, Bismarck, and Doug Wahus, Dickinson; brother, Troy (Kayla Alton) Wahus, Wisc.; his grandpa, Lynn Wahus, Watford City; one aunt, Toni Kinden; and two wonderful nieces, Katelynn and Lilly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Holm, and Kathy Wahus; and his uncle, Wayne Holm.
