Michael E. “Mike” McConnell, 65, Dickinson, our beautiful grandfather, dad, and friend of many died Friday, April 22, 2016 doing what he loved the most, riding his Harley. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mike at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Pastor Bob Simons officiating.

Michael Edward McConnell grew up in Sutter, Calif. being a motorcycle enthusiast since the age of fifteen. Not being afraid to get his hands dirty and believing it’s more than riding a bike, it’s feeling it in your heart and soul. Mike’s real and abiding passion were his family and friends, and of course his ever faithful ol’ dogs, Bud and Gillie.

Mike sought to instill in everyone he met a passion for life, and that knowing riding wasn’t about the destination, but the ride in itself. He had made that a commitment of his to share with family and pass on to his children.

Mike will be loved and remembered by his children, Mike (Connie), David (Cinthia), Patrick, Lee, and Pernora (Jayme); and grandchildren, Steven, Tyler, Taylor and Takoda. He is also survived by his dad, Donald; mother, Joyce Hensly; brothers, David (Cathy), and John; sister, Marie; and numerous wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you spend time riding in the wind with beloved friends and family enjoying the road of life. He will be remembered for the saying, “such language young fellers”, and never forgetting the power of a bear hug.
