Michael V. Dolajak October 21, 1952 - September 21, 2022

Date of Funeral

Thursday, September 29, 2022

Michael V. Dolajak was born on October 21, 1952, the son of Mike and Margaret (Simon) Dolajak. He grew up seven miles south of Dickinson on the family farm which eventually turned into “Dolajak MFG”.

On July 26, 1976 he married Susan Kay Stroh and they had two boys, Bruce and Brandon. During that time he went to work for Milchem Oil Services in the late 70’s into the early parts of the 80s.

Susan passed away from cancer on March 22, 1987 after a two year battle. As the oil boom dried up, he ended up being a part-time farmer. He took on a full-time job at Boespflug Trailers. Eventually he had an interest in Armour Car Service and Security and did this for 25 years.

Michael enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, being mechanical no matter what he was working on. He could BS with anyone! It’s when he met Linda Olheiser that he shined the brightest. His long-time companion. They shared many adventures, especially the love of the Black Hills of South Dakota on a Harley Davidson. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and grandkids.

Who he was:  hard working, dedicated, and hard when he had to be. He was not just a Dad, but a true definition of a Father, not just to his kids. A grandpa to many. He was a great friend and as social as it comes. Lent an ear to many and even spoke words of wisdom. He believed in the small things in life and gave all he could without return. He was stubborn and a smartass. We are all lucky to have had him in our live’s journey.

Michael is survived by his long-time companion, Linda Olheiser; sons, Bruce Dolajak, Bismarck and Brandon (Lisa) Dolajak, Bismarck; 19 grandchildren & step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Johnny Dolajak, Montana.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; his parents; and three nephews.
