Michelle Lee Schock, 51, Dickinson, died on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson, surrounded by her family. Michelle’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Msgr. Thomas Richter as celebrant. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary led by Rick Marsh at 7 p.m. A vigil will follow with Deacon Leonard Krebs presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Thursday.
Michelle Quigley was born on August 27, 1972, in Minot, the daughter of Delbert and Mary Teresa (Miller) Quigley. She was raised and educated in Dickinson, graduating from Dickinson High School in 1990. She continued her education at Dickinson State University where she continued her love of music.
Michelle married her high school sweetheart, Brian Keith Schock on September 18, 1992. They remained in Dickinson, raising their two children Kali and Collin. Whether it was watching a choir or band concert, a cross-country meet, soccer or football game, she was always there to cheer on her children, nieces and nephews.
While raising their children, Michelle and Brian volunteered with Relay for Life, Boy Scouts of America, school Parent Advisory Committees and supported many non-profit organizations. She became the Boy Scouts of America Popcorn Chair, and a member of the Clarence McCormick American Legion Auxiliary Unit 195. She earned the Roughrider District Award of Merit and Northern Lights Council Silver Beaver Award. She worked at King’s Super Value, Herberger’s, Queen of Peace church and co-owner with her husband Brian at Rudy’s Lock and Key for the past 12+ years.
Michelle enjoyed, spoiling her grandchildren, traveling and theatre productions with family, playing piano for multiple churches and schools, and scrapbooking with friends. She made an imprint on many lives and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; their children, Kali (Seth) Olin, Dickinson, and Collin (Emilee) Schock, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Lilianna Olin, Maxwell and Alexander Schock; parents, Delbert (Janet) Quigley, Burlington, and Mary Teresa Quigley, Dickinson; grandmother, Shirley Quigley, Minot; siblings, Jenn (Dave Lennick) Quigley, Dickinson, Cassandra (Dana) Messmer, Rapid City, SD, Suzanne (Shane) Frank, Mandan, Dustin (Rachel Hanna) Hellman, Rapid City, SD; nieces, nephews and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Rudy Schock; stepmother Judy Quigley; and other family members.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Amen Food Pantry, Domestic Violence, or the American Cancer Society.
