Mike H. Mulske, 54, Dickinson, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at his home. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Gladstone Cemetery with Rev. Dan Freed officiating.
Michael “Mike” Hugo Mulske was born July 22, 1957 in Ely, Nev. He was raised in Dickinson until 1969 when the family moved to Gladstone, and settled there. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1975. For the last 7 years Mike lived in Dickinson until the time of his death.
He worked for the Husky Briquetting Plant after graduating for a few years and then went into oil exploration work. After that work ended, he had various other jobs. Due to health related issues, he had to cease work. His past hobbies were fishing and hunting. He was an avid reader and liked to do leather work. He also liked to draw.
As his family and friends knew, Mike was a natural and very artistic with his drawing, especially of animals and outdoor life. If taken to its full potential, he very possibly could have become a well known artist! Mike didn’t always have the best way with words but he had his own special way about him. He was a very honest person and a hard worker at any of his jobs. He always enjoyed visiting with friends and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by both his parents, Eckhardt “Ike” and Bertha “Nell” Mulske. He is survived by: three brothers, David (Jolene) Mulske, Randy Mulske and Gary Mulske all of Gladstone; one sister, Terry (Bob) Smith of Bakersfield, Calif.; two nephews, Joseph Mulske and Sean Smith; a niece, Kayla Mulske; two uncles, Tom (Jackie) Mulske, and Bill (Frances) Mulske; an aunt, Robbie (Dan) Edwards; and numerous cousins.
