With heavy hearts, we share that Mirah Grace Evoniuk has left this earth on August 8, 2025, at the age of 14, surrounded by her loved ones.

Mirah Grace was a radiant star that always shined so bright. She brought immense joy to her family. She was adored by her big brothers Simón and Xander, who were always her biggest champions. When Mirah smiled, you could not help but smile as well. Mirah loved to be snuggled by her mom and lit up whenever she heard her voice. She loved hanging out with her brothers, spending time outside, listening to music, and having her hair braided. Mirah was a constant reminder of joy and happiness. For six years, Mirah was lovingly cared for by the devoted staff of Anne Carlson in Jamestown, who stood beside her through every challenge with unwavering dedication. Mirah waged a courageous and inspirational battle against all odds. Although Mirah was unable to speak, her sweet face could tell you anything that you needed to know. Without ever saying a word, Miss Mirah Grace leaves a legacy of perseverance, strength, and love.

Mirah will always be deeply treasured and loved by her mother, Ashley Evoniuk, Bismarck; her siblings, Simón Corral and Xander Evoniuk, both of Bismarck, her grandmother, Colleen Holm, Bismarck; her aunt, Courtney (Austin) Rogstad, Lincoln; her uncle, Calum Evoniuk, Plymouth, WI; her cousins, Rien Heinz and Suttyn Rogstad both of Lincoln; and numerous others who became family over the years of Mirah’s journey in life. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Evoniuk.

“Come on baby with me, we’re gonna fly away from here

Out of this curtained room in this hospital grey,

we’ll just disappear

Come on baby with me, we’re gonna fly away from here

You were my best 14 years.”
