Nancy Carol Clift was born June 14, 1971, daughter of Joseph “J.R.” and Jackie (Halverson) Clift, in Baltimore, Maryland. The family moved to Galchutt, N.D. in 1980 where she lived until 1995. She graduated from Richland High in 1990 and moved to Wahpeton in 1995 where she worked as a cook at St. Catherine’s Care Center.
Nancy married Kenneth Kostelecky June 9, 1995 in Wahpeton. In 2001, they moved to Dickinson where she worked as a cook at St. Benedict’s Health Center from 2001 to 2007. She went to work at Hawk’s Point where she performed various activities and responsibilities until her death.
She enjoyed visiting, socializing with others, especially the elderly. She was a very dedicated worker and was always concerned about doing her job to the best of her ability. She left an impact on everyone she met. Nancy chose to serve the elderly, but if you needed her she would try her best to help you.
As with many of you, we have had our hearts broken to its core, depending on how she impacted your life. Nancy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kostelecky, Dickinson; daughters, McKenzie, Dickinson, CaSaundra, Dickinson, and Callie, Wahpeton; parents, Jackie Clift, Wahpteton and J.R. (Susan) Clift, Sioux Falls, S.D.; brothers, James Clift, Wahpeton, and Richard (Wendy) Clift, Breckenridge, Minn.; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
