Patricia Louise Svendsen, 74, Dickinson, died on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. A Liturgy of Word Service for Patricia will be at 1 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Deacon Bob Zent presiding. Interment will follow at the Taylor Cemetery, Taylor. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Patricia Louise Davis was born on January 28, 1949 to Clifford and Mary (Friesz) Davis. Throughout Patricia’s childhood she lived in many areas as her father worked construction and also was a sheriff. Patricia graduated from high school in Darby, MT.
She moved from Montana to Canada to live with her sister, Ida and brother-in-law, Pete so she could attend Cosmetology School. It was during this time she met her first husband, Bob White. Together they had two daughters, Leah and Sherri. Later they separated and Patricia moved back to North Dakota to be closer to family. Patricia later married Carl Svendsen in 1996. They resided in Dickinson together until Carl passed in 2016. Patricia remained in Dickinson where she lived in her home until her time of passing in the hospital.
In her free time she mostly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were the love of her life, and would do anything for them. Before she became ill, she enjoyed politics, dancing, traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, and hunting too!
Pat is survived by her daughters, Leah (Matthew) Green, Dickinson and Sherri White, Hettinger; grandchildren, Deidra Jung and Cayden Welch; great-grandchildren, Braelee White, Taimyn Jung and Maliya Jung; brother, Cliff (Marietta) Davis, Bismarck; sister-in-law, Janette Davis, Washington; special friends, Kodi Lee and Julia Vogel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Svendsen; her parents, Clifford and Mary Davis; sisters, Delores (Jack) Madl, Ida Mae (Peter) Wolf, Peggy Melhoff; brothers, Jim Davis and Glenn Davis.
