Paula Ehrmantraut, 46, Belfield, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Paula’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Belfield with Fr. Shannon Lucht as the celebrant. Interment will follow at the Bethel United Church of Christ Cemetery, New Salem. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday at the church with a vigil at 6 p.m., at the church.

Paula Jean Trautman was born August 19, 1965 in Rapid City, S.D., the daughter of Allen R. and Marian (Kaelberer) Trautman. She was raised in Streator, Ill. through the 6th Grade, and in New Salem during her Junior High years. The family moved to Belfield where she graduated from Belfield High School in 1983. She then attended Dickinson State University. She married Brian Ehrmantraut on May 17, 1991 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson.

Paula went to work for NAPA in Belfield and following approximately 20 years she decided to go to work for herself. She began a bookkeeping business where she took care of the books for B&B Hot Oil Service, Roughrider Bar, and the I Don’t Know Bar, South Heart. She also was the “runner” for the American Legion Post #144, Belfield.

She loved the outdoors, snowmobiling, camping, taking care of her yard and house, and spending time with Momma.

Paula is survived by her mother, Marian Berger, Belfield; three siblings, Clint (Wendy) Trautman, Powell, Wyo., Kim (Mike) Froehlich, Dickinson, and Lisa Bobbitt, Georgetown, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Casper “Cap” Berger, her father, Allen Trautman, and her grandparents.
