Paula Jo Colton Kadrmas, 63, died Monday, December 9, 2019. Services to be held at a later date.
Paula Jo Colton was born October 22, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. Paula was the loving daughter to Miriam and Charles Colton. Paula was 1 of 10 children. She lived in Iowa and in her early childhood the family moved to South Dakota.
While living in Sturgis, Paula became one of the first women to work in the Homestake Gold Mine. While working at the mines she met and married her soul mate, Ross Kadrmas.
Paula loved to crochet, baking, canning and many other hobbies. Paula was always the kind of person that would give you the shirt off her back. Paula was loved by just about everyone that she met. Paula could light up a room, just by walking into it.
Paula is survived by three children, Sarita (Justin) Steckler, Dickinson, Mirenda (Josh) Coleman, Jamestown, and Tyler Kadrmas, Dickinson; six grandchildren, Tierra Jones, Damian Doll, Moya Doll, Jorja Steckler, Ava Coleman and Greyson Kadrmas; mother, Miriam Colton; and siblings, Michael (Allison) Colton, Shelly (Buzz) Loude), Chris (Kevin) Hein, Chuck Colton, Lorili (Marty) Anderson, Miriam Posch, Chere (Dave) Colliar, Shai (John) Eixenberger and Joseph Colton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross; grandson, Reese Coleman; and dad, Charles.
