Pauline “Polly” Berger, 96, formerly of Dickinson, died Friday, May 23, 2025 at Twin Falls, Idaho. Pauline’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Justin Waltz as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Ross Reiter presiding.
Pauline “Polly” was born in Stark County to Michael and Rose (Vogel) Wock on February 8, 1929.
On October 20, 1947, Pauline married Valentine Berger at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson and to this union six children were born.
Her occupations focused on caregiving and helping others which included: nurse’s aide, owner of the Christian Book Store, and respite caregiver for adults.
Polly is survived by her children, Carl (Ann) Berger, Twin Falls, ID, Howard Berger, Twin Falls, and Randy (Gale) Berger, Dickinson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Ron Thielen; brother, Wallace (Ginger) Wock; three sisters, Jean Schmidt, Willie (Larry) Rafferty, and Gina Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Valentine; two sons, Paul and Tim; one daughter, Karen; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
