Pearl Binder passed away on February 18, 2020, surrounded by family at her home in Roseville, GA. Pearl’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Inurnment will take place at the Dickinson Cemetery, Dickinson.
Pearl Specht was born on November 8, 1937 in Dodge, the daughter of John and Emma (Hausauer) Specht. She was united in marriage to Harold Binder on September 16, 1955 in Tappen and to this union four children were born.
She met James Schummer after Harold’s passing and they farmed for many years before moving to Bismarck in 1998. After retiring from Walmart, she moved to Rossville, GA where she resided with her daughter, Susan.
Pearl loved to garden, she especially loved her roses. She enjoyed going to stock car races. Later in life she liked the drag races and the rumble of the cars. What Pearl enjoyed more than anything was her grandchildren and spending time with family.
Pearl is survived by her children, Sue Binder, Flasher, Cindy Binder, Flasher, Ricky Binder, Roseville, GA, and Terry (Kristina Purdew) Binder; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings, Roland Spect, Billings, MT, Edward Spect, Alvarado, TX, Mavis Kainz, Dickinson, Phyllis Stroh, Longmont, CO, and Carolyn Dewall, Lewisville, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; and sister, Shirley Lang.
