Phyllis M. Hudson, 78, Dickinson, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at home with her family gathered around. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 2 pm until 4 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Inurnment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Phyllis Mitchell was born April 16, 1937 at Chicago, Ill. to Joseph and Jessye (Albertson) Mitchell. Phyllis graduated from Rolla High School in 1955. She was confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rolla and taught Sunday School at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church while living in Corpus Christi, Texas. While living in Corpus Christi, Phyllis worked as a physicians assistant at the Hospital of Texas for ten years and then six years in management. After moving to Virginia, Phyllis spent four years in apartment management.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Robert “Bob”, Dickinson; four children, Janie (Gary) Burnett, Reeves, La., Steven (Erin) Jensen, Western Australia, Todd (Julie) Jensen, Corpus Christi, and Annie (Clint) Johnson, Dickinson; six grandchildren, Blaine, Lindsay, Nicholas, Monica, Emily, and Ty; two great-grandsons, Jack and Shawn; two sisters Evelyn Bryant, St. John and Margaret Hart, Belfield, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
