Pius Dworshak, 66, Dickinson, ND, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. Memorial services for Pius will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Fr. Dennis Schafer presiding. Interment will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, military flag presentation will be by the Veterans Drill Team. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time on Tuesday.

Pius Dworshak was born May 10, 1941 in Dickinson, the son of Frank and Agnes (Praus) Dworshak. He was raised and educated in Dickinson. Pius served in the United States Army from November 29, 1963 to his honorable discharge on November 26, 1965.

Pius returned to Dickinson where he worked on sign construction, as a roughneck in the oil fields, a custodian with the Dickinson Public Schools, and as a truck driver for Northern Improvement, retiring in 2003.

Pius is survived by his sister and two brothers, Beatrice (Max) Koppinger, Glendive, MT, Eugene (Arlene) Dworshak, Golden Valley, ND, and Andrew Dworshak, Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leonard, and one infant brother, Jerome.
