Randall J. Hoff, 48, Richardton, ND, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at MedCenter One, Bismarck. Randall’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Abbot Brian Wangler, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Military honors will be provided by the Richardton American Legion, Theodore R. Zech Post #180. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday at the church. There will be a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at the church.
Randall James Hoff was born October 27, 1958 in Richardton, the son of Charles and MaryAnn (Schulz) Hoff. He was raised in the Richardton area, having attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduating from Richardton High School in 1977. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, and was honorably discharged after three years.
Randy moved to Alaska where he enjoyed an adventurous life of hunting, fishing and working on the North Slope at that time. He returned recently to his home town and was employed by Flagen Inc.. Randy was a free spirit with a big heart. He enjoyed his friends and family and was always willing to lend a hand whenever possible. Randy had a creative sense of humor and was a joy to be around, and will be missed by those who knew him.
Randall is survived by three daughters, Haley, Hanah and Hevyn, Kenai, AK; his parents, Chuck and MaryAnn Hoff; five brothers, Justin Hoff, Richardton, Tom (Rita) Hoff, Bismarck, Mark (Judy) Hoff, Richardton, Tracey (Jackie) Hoff, Dickinson, and Ryan (Maribeth) Hoff, Dickinson; three sisters, Pam (Duane) Bjerke, Molt, MT, Nori (Dale) Diede, Richardton, and Jodi (Mike) Hauck, Ellensburg, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason, niece, Mellisa Hoff, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred a trust that will be set up for his daughters.
