Randy Joseph Dolechek was born May 14, 1959 in Dickinson, son of Christ J. and Leona (Twardoski) Dolechek. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, graduating from Trinity High School in 1977. Following High School he worked on the railroad and later at Koch. He also worked on his brother Rick’s dairy farm. He then headed to truck driving school and started working for UAP. He was currently employed with Helena Chemical, just celebrating 15 years with the company. His Helena coworkers and customers were his second family.

For many years he enjoyed playing and coaching softball where he acquired the nickname “Ernie”. He had a passion for chasin’ walleyes, most times “out fishing” everyone in the boat. He spent his entire life on the farm gardening and tending to the cattle. He truly enjoyed the trips to First Gold in Deadwood with his mom and whomever else they could get to tag along.

Randy’s nieces and nephews will miss his endless supply of popsicles and watermelon. You could not stop in without eating at least one of his favorites.

Randy is survived by his mother, Leona M. Dolechek, Dickinson; sister, Andrea (Joe) Couillard; brothers, Rick (Lynn) Dolechek, Dickinson, and Robby (Dawn) Dolechek, Dickinson; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Tiffany) Dolechek, Kayla Dolechek, Mark Dolechek, Britany (Josh) Thrams, Chris (Sam) Thernes, Alyssa Thernes, Jordan (Jessica) Dolechek, Jaymin (Joelle) Dolechek, and Annabelle Dolechek; great-nephews and nieces, Rye and Riggen Thrams, and Hayslee Dolechek.

He was preceded in death by his father, Christ J. Dolechek; grandparents, Valentine and Anna Dolechek and John and Anna Twardoski; and numerous aunts and uncles.
