Randy Kitzan, 72, Richardton died Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. There will be a private family graveside service at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, October, 22, 2020 at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Randy Kitzan was born December 25, 1947 to Rudolph and Rose (Aman) Kitzan in Richardton. He grew up on the family farm south of Antelope where he attended country school and later graduated from Richardton Public High School in 1965.
He was employed with Badinger Sand and Gravel until he entered the United States Army in 1968, where he served as an Infantryman with C Company of 3rd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 25th Division. Following his tour in Vietnam in 1970, he was employed with F & J Construction. He worked in construction for many years.
Following his marriage to Brenda Messer on August 18, 1979, he worked for Southwest Grain, later moving his family back to the family homestead where he did some farming and continued working with Southwest Grain. Later selling the farm in 1997, moving back to town which has been his home since.
Randy is survived by his children, Eric Kitzan, Glen Ullin, Travis (Brandy) Kitzan, Richardton, and Roxane (Cordell) Walth, Hebron; eight grandchildren, Erwin, Kaile, Keira, Karli, Owen, Kambri, Keaton, and Kane; and special friend, Dawn Huschka and daughter, Jessica.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan; his parents; brothers, Ralph, Melvin and Clarence Kitzan.
