Regina K. Diede, 90, formerly of Dickinson, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, Minn. Regina’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack as the celebrant. Interment will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at Ladbury Funeral Service. There will be a rosary & vigil at 3 p.m., Sunday, with Deacon Ralph Stockert presiding.
Regina Schulz was born March 21, 1921 in a farm house, the daughter of Peter and Katherina (Sabbath) Schulz. She was raised and educated in the Lefor area.
Regina was united in marriage to Raymond Diede, in Mott, on June 19, 1947. Together they farmed south of Hebron until retiring in 1979, at which time they moved to Dickinson. In 2005 the couple moved to Fargo, where Raymond passed away on December 23, 2005.
She enjoyed sewing, fishing, playing cards, games, going for walks, and especially spending time with her family and friends.
Regina is survived by her children, Ronald (Laverne) Diede, Dickinson, Larry (Anneliese) Diede, Port Orchard, Wash., Eileen Diede, and Linda Bakken, West Fargo; one sister, Kathryn Gillen, Dickinson; two brothers, Albert Schulz, Mott, and Leonard Schulz, Seattle, Wash.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; one sister, Irene; four brothers, Pete, Nick, Joe and Ervin; one grandson, Mark Diede; and son-in-law, Rick Bakken.
