Regina R. Hauck, 92, Richardton, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Regina’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton, with Fr. Boniface Muggli, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ron Wolberg presiding. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to service at the church.

Regina Rose Staudinger was born November 20, 1921, the daughter of John and Christina (Metz) Staudinger. She was raised in Dickinson, attending school at St. Joseph’s School, then moved north of Richardton in 1936.

Regina married Raphael B. Hauck on June 11, 1941 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton. They lived north of Richardton until they retired. They moved to Dickinson and spent years in a condo, Hawk’s Point Assisted Living and then St. Benedict’s Health Center. Regina and Ray spent many winters in Yuma, Ariz., being North Dakota snowbirds.

Regina and Ray enjoyed 70 years of marriage and were blessed with seven children: Delila (Francis) Mayer, Mott; Rodney (Bonnie) Hauck, Dickinson; Janie (Paul) Tormaschy, Gladstone; Nancy (Ron) Mongeon, Lincoln, Neb.; Daryl (Alaine) Hauck, Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; Pam (Tim) Doehler, Perth; and Lyle (Lisa) Hauck, Fergus Falls, Minn. Regina has 25 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She is survived by three brothers; two sisters; two brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law. Brothers: Elmer Staudinger, Mott; Valentine (Marlene) Staudinger, Richardton; and John (Lynette) Staudinger, Orland Park, Ill.; Sisters: Magdelena (Paul) Hauck, Richardton; and Margaret (Eugene) Tormaschy, Taylor; and Sister-in-law: Lena Seiler, Yuma, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christina and John Staudinger; her husband, Raphael on April 28, 2012; brothers, Frank and Joseph Staudinger; and sisters, Louise Silvey, and Delores Boespflug; and a grandson, Ryan Mayer.

Regina loved cooking, baking, playing cards and games. She will always be remembered for her devotion to God and for her kind words to and for everyone. She had a love for family: baking with the granddaughters, sewing Barbie dolls clothes with the granddaughters and praising her son-in-laws. Dancing, reading, gardening, sewing, and embroidering were also some of her favorites. She was a member of Christian Mothers, taught CCD, helped with camp recreation. Regina and Ray were members of Good Sam’s Club. Regina was a gentle, caring complimentary person and she will forever be remembered and missed.
