Richard Arnold Roth, 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Sanford Health, Bismarck with family at his side. Richard’s Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor David Ling Officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Richard was born April 26, 1937 to Ludwig and Mathilda (Baesler) Roth of New Leipzig, he was the youngest of 13 children.
Richard married his bride Bernadine Wilhelm on June 10, 1962 and was married for 55 years. Richard had a lifelong career in farming/ranching and road construction. The construction projects gave him the opportunity to work and meet many people in different areas of the state. He was a very social person and always knew someone wherever he went.
Richard is survived by his wife Bernadine Roth; his children, Ryan (Gerri) Roth, Robin (Tim) Becker, Robert Roth, Russel (Kathy) Roth, Rebecca (James) Nevins; his 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister Olivia (Silas) Ellingson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Mathilda Roth; 11 siblings; and his special farm hand Rocky.
