Robert “Bob” Dutchuk, 67, Dickinson, died on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. There will be a Panakhyda/Parastas at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Fr. Ivan Shkumbatyuk presiding. Interment will follow at St. Josephat’s Ukrainian Cemetery, Gorham. Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and time of sharing at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Robert Dutchuk was born May 11, 1951 in Dickinson, the son of Nick and Ann (Pedeliski) Dutchuk. He was raised and educated in Dickinson. In his early life he worked at various different places such as Carlson Construction, TMI, Northern Improvement, Kolling and Kolling, and Husky’s.
Bob was an excellent carpenter and handyman. He shared his talents and skills with many people. He attended Bismarck State College, receiving a certificate in air conditioning and refrigeration.
Together Renee and Bob, bought land north of Dickinson and built the house, pole barn and other out buildings and planted trees to make a beautiful home place.
Bob was a previous member of the Eagles Club and the St. Anthony Club. He loved to play guitar and go to the casino. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He had a passion for classic cars. He also loved to listen to old time music.
He is survived by his soul mate of 39 years, Renee Serhienko; daughters, Stacey (Curtis) Dicken, Thornton, Colo. and Wendy Serhienko, Dickinson; grandchildren, Kaylee Serhienko and Alexa Dicken; siblings, John (Louise) Dutchuk, Marge (Howie) Dengel, Shirl (Andy) Pavlicek, Sam Dutchuk and Marlene (Leonard) Pavlicek, all of Dickinson; and numerous members of the Romanyshyn family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Ann Dutchuk; brother, Joe Dutchuk and; sister, Charlene Hubert.
