Robert “Bob” Schuld, 63, Richardton, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at his home south of Richardton. Bob’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, south of Richardton with Fr. Boniface Muggli, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Robert Schuld was born June 9, 1947 at Richardton, the son of Phillip and Pauline (Schroeder) Schuld. He attended grade school in rural Stark County and high school at Richardton Public School.

Bob has spent his entire life on the family place south of Richardton. He had spent a period of time in the North Dakota National Guard. In 1979 he took over the operation of the family place and ranched until 2010. During this time he also drove school bus and hauled cattle for many years.

Bob belonged to the Richardton Saddle Club and the Richardton Sports Boosters, where he was awarded a #1 Fan Trophy.

Bob is survived by two sisters, Polly (Bill) Schiwal, Belfield and Phyllis (Orest “Ernie”) Baranko, Fairfield; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and also survived by his “family” of neighbors and friends of the Richardton community. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one nephew, Doug Baranko.
