Roberta Jeanne “Bobbie” Kadrmas, 85, Dickinson, died Tuesday March 9, 2021 surrounded by her family at home. There will be a Liturgy of Word Service for Bobbie at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Fr. Robert Shea presiding. Inurnment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and time of sharing at 7 p.m.

Roberta Jeanne Kadrmas was born April 8, 1935 in Richardton, the daughter of James C. and Leona E. (Hansen) Harrington. Roberta attended grade school in Richardton and graduated from Dunn Center High School.

Bobbie was united in marriage to Marvin W. Kadrmas on July 26, 1954 in Dickinson. She worked as a cashier at the Dime Store until Roque was born. Roberta, Marvin and Roque moved to Fargo for Marvin’s College Education. They lived on the NDSU campus. Marvin started his company Kadrmas Lee and Jackson Engineering where Bobbie not only kept the books, but she was Marvin’s personal business partner and soul mate. Marvin died tragically in a plane crash in October 1986.

Bobbie loved baking, cooking, and gardening. She had a beautiful garden at the farm. She made the best vegetable soup with all of her fresh garden produce. She was famous for her apple pies and chex party mix.

Bobbie was an avid bowler and belonged to numerous bowling leagues at Classic Lanes and the Paragon. Her name was many times on the marquis and she traveled to state and national tournaments. She played in several Bridge clubs. She loved to play trivia as she was pretty knowledgeable in all categories. Bobbie enjoyed watching and attending NBA and NFL games. She loved traveling, taking grandchildren on many trips. Bobbie had a great love for Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, especially for her son, Kent.

Bobbie is survived by her sons, Roque (Karen Binstock) Kadrmas, Manning, Mark (Gina Petitti) Kadrmas, Billings, Mont., and Kent Kadrmas, Bismarck; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Jill (Troy) Lillehoff, (Finn, Liam, Jude and Beau); Holly (Shawn) Creel, (Harper, Kenley and Jaxon); Jesse Kadrmas; Brianna Kadrmas, (Skylar, Rory and Aria); Teddy Kadrmas and Antonia; siblings, Phyllis Jorgenson, Dickinson, Judy (Loren) Foley, Simi Valley, Calif., Gail (Bill) Massey, Bismarck, and Jack Harrington, Covington, Wash.; half siblings, James Harrington and Vicki Lynn (Harrington) Bee; sister-in-law, Alvina; in-laws, Lori and Bill Faiman, Bismarck and Connie and Jim Fischer, Olympia, Wash.; and numerous special nieces and nephews as they all loved their “auntie Bobbie”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; mother and step-dad, Leona and Jim Trotter; father, James Harrington; in-laws, Emma and Walter Kadrmas; brothers, Larry (Katherine Raab) Harrington and LaWayne (Janice) Harrington; nephew and nieces, Dean, Shelly and Vickie; brother-in-law, Bill Jorgenson; half brother, Timothy James Harrington; and also numerous other family members.
