Rocky James Huschka, 47, Dickinson, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Dickinson. Rocky’s Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Michael Wolters as officiant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Military Honors will be provided by the Mandan American Legion Honor Guard. 

Rocky James Huschka was born May 11, 1979 in Dickinson, the son of Glen and Starla (Siefken) Huschka. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, having graduated from DHS in 1997. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served from March 18, 1998 to January 1, 2003. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he attended the Police Academy in New Mexico. He served on the State Police for four years in New Mexico. He then served with the Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department in Bismarck for seven years. During his tenure, Rocky received a Letter of Recognition and a Life Saving Award in 2009, was named Employee of the Year in 2010, and was promoted to Corporal that same year. Before joining Wyoming Casing, he also worked for FedEx and Burlington Northern.

During this time, he married Joy Obrigewitch and gained a daughter Fierra. In this union a daughter, Rachel, was born. At the time of his death, he was married to Andrea Fox.

He belonged to the Road Rangers Motorcycle Club of Regent.

Rocky is survived by his daughters, Rachel Huschka, Grand Forks, and Fierra (Evan) Warren and their son, Bentley Warren (grandson), Denver, NC; dad, Glen (Cheryl Narveson) Huschka, Dickinson; mom, Starla (Gary) Dassinger, Dickinson; sister, Heather Burris and her daughter, Alyssa Burris (niece); his wife, Andrea, and her children, Adele, Ava, Andrew, and Abigail Fox, Dickinson; aunts and uncles, Fern (Leo) Earley, Georgetown, TX, Judy (Darwin) Tople, Phoenix, AZ, Bob (Vicki) Siefken, Dickinson, Rick (Lisa) Siefken (Godfather), Pendleton, IN, Terry Siefken, Dickinson, Jerry Siefken, Dickinson, Gale (Randy) Berger, Dickinson, Gloria (Tim) Wolf, (Godmother) Le Center, MN, and Gary (Cary) Huschka, Bismarck; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert (Phyllis) Siefken and Lawrence (Hilda) Huschka; and uncle, John Siefken.
