Roger J. Gawryluk, 67, Dickinson, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, as the result of injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle on his way home on Monday evening. Roger’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Patrick Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John’s Ukrainian Cemetery, Belfield, where he will be laid to rest next to his mother. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary and vigil at 4 p.m., with Deacon Bob Zent presiding.

Roger James Gawryluk was born April 5, 1945 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander, Wisc. The son of James and Annie F. (Gauthir) Gawryluk. He had spent the first 25 years at the state school in Grafton.

He has lived in Dickinson for the past several decades, where he owned his own trailer home and he was a very kind and caring individual.

Roger is survived by his sister, Irene Gawryluk, Dickinson; four half-siblings, Patricia Decker, Bismarck, Margaret Sass, Maddock, Carol White, Mesa, Ariz., and Harold Gawryluk, Killdeer; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.
