Ronald Sorenson was born June 18, 1942 in New England to Devene and Bertha (Johnson) Sorenson.  His twelve years of education ended when he graduated in 1960 from New England High School.  His dad died the year he graduated so his mother gave him two choices, college or farming.  He chose to farm and it was a decision in his 52 years of farming he never once regretted even though there were a few lean years but always seemed to keep ahead of the bills.  Ron was a simple hard-working man, dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Ron married the “Love of his Life”, Dianne (Braun), on January 24, 1967.  Together they were blessed with the best four children in the world.  They in return blessed us with their spouses and grandchildren.  Rachelle “Shellee” married Keane Hanson and two grandchildren followed, Kaine and Gabrielle.  Rauna married Eddie Maychrzak and they ranch south of Scranton, Rebecca (Bekki) married Jeremy Fischer and Ace was born.  Reid married Jessica (Jahner) and three Sorenson kids followed Denit, Gabe and Sebella.  We have been blessed to have three of the four families close to the farm and Scranton is a quick drive away.  To get everybody under one roof for birthdays, potluck suppers, holidays or anything that sounded like fun always got a quick response and the food was a sure winner.

Ron is survived by his sister Sharon (Dave) Jensen, Detroit Lakes, MN,  brother-in-law Jay Frolich, Marysville, WA, several nieces and nephews along with Dianne’s family members and long-time family friend, Kirk Nester.

Ron served on several boards but the most rewarding part of his life was having a wife, kids, grandkids and family to share his love and time with.  We lost him to a better world but we will continue to love him forever.
